Dairy farming has been the way of life for the Volleman family as far back as 1890, and it shows in the impeccable quality of their milk.

The Volleman’s Story

Frank and Annette Volleman are no strangers when it comes to pursuing their dreams. Over 25 years ago, they made the decision to uproot from their home in the small country of Luxembourg to pursue their dream of starting their own dairy farm in America.

Having already been helping manage the dairy farm in Europe, they were very familiar with the ins and outs; however, with their family growing very fast, they knew they needed space to build a legacy for the next generation and Texas was just the place for that.

In 1993, they made their move and began dairying with a small herd of 100 cows.

Over the years to come they grew their dairy and grew their family to four sons. As the sons grew up and graduated college, each one came back to find their own place in the family operations.

The two oldest, Ben and David came back and quickly found their fit, with Ben overseeing the farming operations and David managing the dairy and milk production.

Frank and Annette quickly realized that they would need to continue to grow if they were going to support their family for years to come.

Frank always knew he wanted to bring their milk products directly to the consumers, and just like in good ‘ole Volleman fashion, he made that dream a reality, with the help of his sons.

Sustainable Growth

In 2020, the Vollemans built their bottling plant in Gustine, Texas, and began bottling and distributing their own milk in glass-bottles.

They decided to use glass as their material of choice due to it being returnable and recyclable, as the Vollemans have always placed a strong focus on sustainability throughout their farming practices.

The new bottling plant also allowed the two younger boys to have a hand in the family business. Andrew runs the creamery and milk distribution. Daniel, the youngest, helps with milk sales as well as overseeing heifers at the dairy.

The Delicious Hits Keep Coming!

While they offer a variety of staple flavors, such as chocolate milk, strawberry milk, whole milk, and heavy cream, they also have limited-edition seasonal flavors throughout the year.

Since their opening, they have seen an exceptionally large following from dedicated “VolleFans“.

Volleman’s Family Farm also gained the exciting title of the Official Milk of the Dallas Cowboys in March 2021.

Frank, Annette, and their four sons, have made their dream a reality, and it is only the beginning. The Volleman family can’t wait to see where their dream goes from here.

Join the Vollemans for a Family Farm and Creamery Tour

The Vollemans love showing the full farm to bottle process and now offer tours of their family farm and creamery to the public. Tickets for these once a month tours can be found on their website.

The Future of Volleman’s Begins June 18th 2022!

Volleman’s Family Farm is celebrating the grand opening of its new creamery in Gustine, TX on Saturday, June 18th from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

The new creamery is located at 15400 Hwy. 36 in Gustine and spans a whopping 17,000 square feet!

The big event will be fun for the whole family, with food and milk samples, tours of the family farm, and a chance to pet Volleman’s calves.
